Southern Ceramic Supplies Ltd is currently a member of the following organisations:

G.G.F.

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is both a national and international trade association, whose purpose is to ensure that the highest standards are applied to the manufacture and installation of glass and glazing products.

The Fire Resistant Glazing Group (FRGG) is a specialist glass group within the GGF, which ensures best practice concerning the correct specification and purchase of fire-resistant glass, glazed systems, and components supplied by members. This ensures that optimum fire protection is achieved in buildings that have used FRGG member’s products and services.

The FRGG provides information on the benefits of such glazed systems and products, as well as technical advice and practical guidance on their use. Southern Ceramic Supplies have been members of the GGF and FRGG for many years, helping to formulate the first Fire Resistant Glazing Best Practice Guide.

S.I.A.

The Stove Industry Alliance (SIA) is an alliance of many different organisations involved in the stove industry. It includes manufacturers, distributors, advisory/test houses, and other interested parties.

A core aim of the SIA is to ensure that the appliances of its members are of high quality, superior efficiency, and utilise only the best components in their manufacture.

The SIA achieves this aim by working closely with HETAS, the official body recognised by Government to approve domestic heating appliances.

The SIA promotes the environmental advantages of stoves as heating appliances through lobbying Government, and success can be seen in the inclusion of stoves in the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) legislation formulated by the Department for Energy & Climate Change. This is a scheme that provides financial support for the installation of renewable heat technologies, and is thought to be the first of its kind in the world.

Furthermore, the SIA promotes the industry through marketing activities such as trade and consumer shows like Ecobuild.
