The Manufacturing Process
When the unique raw materials of the glass are thermally processed, small crystals that have contraction properties when heated are uniformly formed and dispersed throughout. The expansion of the remaining glass, and the contraction of the crystals, offset each other leaving the materials expansion coefficient at nearly zero.
By slightly refining this process, two different products are produced: FireLite - a product virtually unparalleled for its fire protection properties and aesthetic quality used in the construction industry - and Neoceram, a heat resistant ceramic glass more suitable for use in domestic heating appliances.
